When
we are talking about shrikhand then many of us started thinking how's is it possible
at home?? Yes, it is possible we can get the same flavor and texture of
shrikhand at home without adding any artificial chemicals which are harmful to
our human body e.g.: Food color, Food preservatives, and artificial flavor
enhancer. Shrikhand having many strong connections with Gujarat and Maharashtra
but because of his sweetness and flavor, it is appetite us all to explore the
roots.
Recipe:
Ingredients
· 4
cups -Yoghurt
· 2
nos.- Mangoes (chopped)
· 3-5
nos. -Cardamom (crushed)
· A
pinch Saffron strands
· 100Gm
-Sugar
Method
1. Put
the yogurt in a muslin or cheesecloth, tie and hang for 3-4 hours to get hung
curd. Remove & keep aside. Puree the mangoes.
2. Add
the thick hung curd, with mango puree in a blender along with crushed cardamom,
saffron, and sugar.
3. Note-
Don’t add water while Blending otherwise you will add water and its turn into Lassi
and you and your family member say Vishwajit ……………..
4. Blend
the mixture till its smooth.
5. Chill
and serve
Many
flavors are easily available at home like cardamom, Nutmeg, Paan, Amrakhand,
chocolate, vanilla, etc. The combination of flavors and texture it's very
important for the perfect Shrikhand and it is easy to make it at home.
Shrikhand
is one of the traditional desserts from Western India, made out of strained
yogurt. Amaras Shrikhand adds the flavor of the King of fruits – Mango to this
traditional recipe and creates a wonderful summer delight
